Ah yes… the unstoppable power of emergence; of that natural and essential state of Being that demands constant and perpetual movement… and change… and evolution. That is the essence of who we are. In other words: we are not intended to ever be fully baked; to ever be ‘done’; to ever think that there is any end-state to which we can/must aspire… and all else remains hidden until we ‘achieve’ that outcome.
Like breath…. moving in and moving out…. moving in and moving out…. its power lies not in any single breath but in the process of breathing. The flow of it. The constant and perpetual state of change that breath – as a process – models for us as the essential requirement for us to BE… to remain alive and able to engage.
As children, we are taught to hide away our imperfect moments and only emerge as a ‘finished product’. Hiding the confusion, uncertainty, pain, fear, resistance, rage… and only allowed out (of our room, of our isolation, of our distress, of our chaos) when we are willing and able to comply and present the appropriate demeanour.
Funny thing: what transforms any one or all of us is the willingness and ability to fully engage the ‘messy’ us… the one pulled into the savage moment of a life in tumultuous movement and turmoil. And when we are willing to do so and be witnessed, we become the seed of an alternative world for any and all who bear witness. We choose to come out of our isolation… not fully baked… embracing and revealing the process of ‘becoming’ that is innate to us all. Even more potent: we invite and allow others to witness that becoming as the natural and intuitive process for evolution.
Contagion. The contagion of a thought virus. Each of us as a thought virus. What are we spreading? And how much of what we are spreading is intentional? Divinely guided? Mindfully directed?
Imagine: a Life of mindful intention, divinely guided.
I choose that… and let the chips fall where they may.
