Wow… I must be on some kind of a roll! So much presenting and moving around; so many words in my mouth that seem to need an escape through this final portal to a vast and open expanse of possibility. Although I am no longer here on a regular basis, I am grateful that there remains an outlet for my expression (sporadic as it may be) when I cannot contain such thoughts to myself.
I started my day with a new blog post from Melissa Allison on the topic of Time and the Speed of Collapse. I love that she even thinks about these things! There is a certain courage required to dive into the explorations that don’t come with answers or ‘to-do’ lists. That constant sense of loose threads… hanging… often seeming useless and yet, holding the promise of a discovery if we dare tug. Melissa is a tugger!
You can also find a great conversation between Melissa and Dean Walker on his podcast Poetry of Predicament. If you browse through Dean’s recent explorations, you’ll find him in conversation with other familiar folks: Deb Ozarko and myself, Naomi Irons, Sheila Winter Wallace, Deb Gleason and Stela Murrizi.
Time. My time is my life. I am increasingly mindful of how I choose to spend my life. As a living expression of godforce moving through matter, I start my day with a simple question: “How does the godforce that I AM choose to live MY life, today!” And then, I engage meaningfully.. whatever that may be, in that moment.
I’m curious: how do you start your day? What question do you ask yourself when your eyes open at the start of a new day? You don’t need to tell me – and you might want to start paying attention.
