So much in today’s world seeks to highjack your attention and redirect… away from your own inner rumblings and toward the nails-on-a-chalk-board screech of yet another reason to be afraid; another reason to look outside of yourself for someone (anyone!) to save you; another reason for you to capitulate to your weenie-ness and inability to figure it out for yourself.
Intentional Evolution is evolution for its own sake. Not evolution to solve a problem and then, get ‘back to normal’… but evolution to transform a Life! The deep choice – and even deeper commitment to that choice – to embrace all that allows you to ‘become’ rather than settle for repetition of who you have already been.
In today’s world, the seduction to focus on all that is happening ‘out there’; the temptation to believe the world-wide, endlessly-repeated narrative of your own powerlessness and inability to discern the larger contexts within which your world is unfolding; and the constant pressure to surrender the power of your own choosing and abdicate to allow another to do that for you, is… well… mind-numbing. But after all, that’s exactly what it’s supposed to be doing. Question is: can we see it for what it is?
All meaning (not some meaning all of the time or all meaning some of the time but all meaning, all of the time!) is context dependent. Change the context and you change the meaning of your experience. For example, directives for your ‘safety’ in the context of wanting to protect you, is one thing. However, directives for your ‘safety’ in the context of wanting to control you – those are different things. Which context do you so easily and automatically attribute to the ‘authority’ figures in your life… like government, the medical industry and global ‘leaders’? When was the last time you thought about it?
The following excerpt was taken from the opening day of a three-day intensive exploration with a small group of women who had chosen Intentional Evolution for themselves. The good news is: it’s a journey that never ends. And the bad news? It’s a journey that never ends….
As you listen, allow yourself to wonder where you abdicate, how frequently you do so, to whom and why? In that line of enquiry is the opportunity for us to get to know the truth of who we are choosing to be.
