As change continues to press itself upon us, many find themselves falling away from the core of their Being… seeking some way of reclaiming a sense of internal safety and stability. As we lose our way, the pull to embrace collusion with others replaces the alignment we once had with ourselves.
In a world steeped in apparent expanding collusion, we would do well to remember some of the basics. As safe or as unavoidable as we might consider collusion to be in the moment, the other side of collusion is corrosion. The more we collude, the more corrosive the experience of our interactions with each other, becomes.
Soon to follow corrosion is erosion of trust… with ourselves and with each other.
The ultimate outcome is a deep sense of isolation and the feeling that we are, indeed, alone. What returns is the very thing we were so desperately seeking to avoid.
Perhaps we would be wise to learn how to stay connected – deeply and without hesitation – to ourselves. In that simple authenticity, our inner truth will lead the way.
