Potential Lives in the Pause….

June 24, 2019 by Louise LeBrun Leave a Comment

My life has been keeping me busy with attending to the day-to-day necessities that come with a physical reality. Some are moments of pure delight (like the amazing transformation of my precious little Grandson, now almost a year old!). Others, moments of recall and recognition on behalf of one lost to themselves (like my Mom’s continuing journey into the Netherland of long-gone connections to any and all things that were part of shaping who she has been all of her life). Nonetheless, through it all, there are moments that cannot be overlooked; invitations to pause… and consider other than that which is so familiar and well-known in the living of Life. I am mindful that potential will be found in the pause… in the moment of daring to embrace that all I hold as fact may, from a different perspective, in truth be but another fiction.

Although my desire to engage in the shared blah blah blah of my own insights and imaginings seems to be waning, I am always lit up by the shared discoveries of those with whom I know only great RIG (respect, integrity and generosity of Spirit). Perhaps, in the days to come, my thoughts shared will take a different form… one that captures the punchline and trusts you to imagine the meaningful story, triggered from the recognitions in your own life.   Hmmm…. I wonder…

For now, here are two explorations not to be missed! Prepare to have your ‘reality’ pressed to the discovery of a new edge of potential.

Deb Ozarko: Discoveries from a Retired Activist

“I’m no longer here to save a world I’ve never believed in. I’m here to save myself from the world and reunite myself with the web of Life. Personally, I believe the planet needs this more than anything else.”

Deb Gleason:  The Cultural Coma of Food

(NOTE: Scroll to the bottom of the post to access the powerful recording of these thoughts.)

“What I am proposing is that you consider taking a different path. I am not going to tell you how to live, I am here to show you there is another way to live. How you choose to live is up to you.

Part of that is starting to exercise your choice muscle, and looking for the things that will bring you strength. Look for the tools and strategies that feel like a match and act on them. Think of these tools as the weights you need pump up your choice muscle.”
