I know of no one who has been spared the drama and its attending impact from the last three years of constant pressure to capitulate and conform. To do what you’re told. To not question. To be silent if not in agreement. To trust external authorities rather than your own internal cues.
Over and over… day after day… pummelled by the talking heads, each reading from the same script. The enforcers of those who deem themselves to be in charge.
And it’s not over, yet.
What has made us so vulnerable to this? How have we so easily succumbed and numbed ourselves to the screams, unexpressed, by the millions who know – without doubt and without hesitation – that something is terribly, terribly wrong.
We are not idiots. But we are trained, to do just as we’ve been pressed into service to deliver. Self-silence. Comply. Don’t be the tall poppy – we know what happens to that.
The sound file below was taken from a conversation in recent months, with a small group of women having awakened to that spark of inner Self, not yet extinguished. Truth is, it never goes out. The question always is: will we choose to feed it the oxygen of Awareness that is required for it to burst into expression?
