Given all that is tearing at us, seeking to capture our attention, the word ‘chaos’ seems to be almost too ‘normal’ to do justice to the great effort that is currently unfolding. And I do believe it to be an intentional effort to fracture our ability to trust ourselves and each other.
More and more, less and less remains of our habituated ways of moving through the world. What once was like familiar wallpaper – easily in the background and covering the frameworks of our comfy, repetitive way of living – now is ripped to shreds…. leaving us, mouths agape, shocked at its fragility and vulnerability to the intentions of forces more powerful than our complacency.
New conversations need to be had. Very new and often challenging and provocative explorations need to be had. Gone are the days when just standing on the sidelines, waiting for someone else to fix it …or better still, for all that is unwanted to simply live out its elected time span and fade away… will make any difference, at all. What is required is for each of us to dig deep and discover what we care about; who we choose to become for ourselves and our offspring; and step into a process of awakening to our own fierce, unflinching and unrelenting pursuit of a meaningful Life. Not easy… not always fun… and essential to creating that which will shape the quality of our tomorrows.
This sound clip – from recent explorations with a small and courageous group of women who were willing to forego the familiar for an act of creation – is a bit longer than I had planned. Still, it speaks to the power of QuantumTLC™ (see previous blog for details) as a process for accessing that which the intellect cannot. As those who seek compliance rely on the power of language to seduce (us) and reduce (capacity), perhaps we need to become far more adept at the internal processes for which we are designed that do not require language and bypass the level of capture that such mechanisms can allow.
It will only get ‘better’ when we get bigger!
