Episode 14 – Reclaiming Your Self ~ 10/06/10 ~ Women, Depression and Drugs
“It’s no secret that depression is on the rise. Although the incidence in men is increasing, depression continues to be a debilitating downward spiral for thousands upon thousands of women. So far, our front-line defense has been pharmaceuticals, even though we know that these drugs do not cure the dis-ease or solve the underlying problems that fuel it. Join Louise in conversation with Sarah Witherell, one young woman who chose a different path and found her way back to herself.
In conversation with: Sarah Witherell – WEL-Systems:NLP Master Facilitator – was first prescribed Paxil at the tender age of 18. After 10 years of pain and struggle, she discovered a new way to move through her world with WEL-Systems®. Now completely drug free, Sarah is completing her training as a Licensed Practical Nurse; and is seeking to find more respectful, meaningful and compassionate ways to engage with others in Community Nursing.
