Sekhmet Rising: The Restlessness of Women’s Genius
The ancient Eqyptian goddess, Sekhmet, represents what the living expression of women can be. With the body of a woman and the head of the lioness, she calls to and awakens in us the truth of our capacity to give birth, to nurture and to sustain; and reminds us that we are equally capable of going after what we want, taking what is rightfully ours and ensuring that the roar of who we are is neither lost nor forgotten. In may well be that many are long overdue for the simple act of reconnecting our heads to our bodies… and trusting that we’ll be just fine!
