I woke up this morning, thinking: you will never find what you’re not looking for.
That which I seek – the willingness and ability to leave ’the creation’ and know mySelf as Creator – is, in general, NOT sought out by the vast, vast majority of those with whom I have long shared a ‘reality’. In addition, that which I seek absolutely requires/demands that I be willing to look elsewhere than inside the creation (my ‘reality’). There are not many with whom that conversation makes sense.
There is something immensely potent – and profoundly disturbing – about living in the ’now’. Letting go of the need to have an intended future design (which is pawned off on us as manifestation; or the creation of reality) be that which shapes the unique and consecutive moments of our current life. In truth, what it actually does is keep us locked into – and captive to – a ‘reality’ constructed for us long ago, with continued use as the template for our ‘meaningful’ existence.
For me, I am gaining capacity for ‘comfort’ with the weightlessness of living in the ’now’ and allowing from that, an emerging ’truth’ or ‘reality’ to present itself. Such an approach continues to ensure an increasingly diminishing interest in consumption of the ‘offerings’ of my current cultural master. I’m amazed at how little I am drawn to purchase/obtain/collect. And in truth, that ‘collecting’ approach has pretty much disappeared.
There is something important happening in that perspective gaining strength. No longer being distracted by seeking to conform and perform within culturally acceptable limits is, I believe, essential to being willing and able to turn my head and look to something else.
