What far too many women overlook is the intensity and consistency of the cultural conditioning that ensures we have no edges! Without edges, we are more willing and able to be moulded and shaped; with a greater likelihood of never noticing that we have disappeared from any notion or intention of our own creation and expression.
Like matter cannot form without energy, we cannot carve out our lives without an edge. Our edges separate who we have been from who we might become. They make it possible for us to move into what we want and leave behind what no longer sources us. Discovering and owning our edges invites us to find courage in our vulnerability, strength in our compassion and the willingness to reach out for the life we choose.
Today’s invitation is to stop… take a breath… and pay attention to that which we may well have long forgotten. It is only in remembering the deeper truth of who we are, that we might fulfill the destiny of our own becoming.
