In a decision released today – January 23, 2024 – Federal Court Justice Richard Mosley said invocation of the Emergencies Act by the Trudeau Liberal government led to the infringement of constitutional rights.
For many, February 14, 2022 will long be remembered as the day that democracy in Canada felt the first deep thrust into the heart of a Nation in turmoil. When I wrote this blog, I was distraught and challenged in my attempt to make sense of what was happening in my world. Now – almost two years later – I am hardened… immune to the lies, the arrogance and the hubris of a political class that knows only how to show its contempt for the very people for whom they exist. Today, is a day that brings a glimmer of hope.
May the consequences for this vile act of betrayal of Canada’s people be a match for the long and lingering anxiety, outrage and disgust endured by the millions affected by this injustice. We will not forget….
